Independence Day is always such a fun filled, happy holiday! Summer temperatures, family, friends, relaxed entertainment with simple food, comfortable clothes and a chance to celebrate our many blessings in this great country. Even Sam and Julia are in the spirit! A pretty watermelon, feta and fresh basil salad is a light and refreshing way to start the meal. A festive flag cake was a big hit (and delicious!)
